“Elliot, just what was it you intend to do after government service?”
“I’m not quitting---I’m not resigning!”

“Well, the President didn’t hire you---I did--you have three weeks.”

2. I think it's a scene from Absence of Malice
Assistant U.S. Attorney Gen. James A. Wells (Wilford Brimley) firing Elliott Rosen, leader of a Justice Deptartment Strike Force (Bob Balaban).

1981. Directed by Sydney Pollac. Starring Paul Newman and Sally Field.

4. “Mr. Gallagher are you that smart?”

“Everyone in this room is smart.”

“I seem to want to ask you if you set this all up, but I don’t suspect you tell me--would you? Well, I’ll tell you sir, I’m pretty smart myself. “

5. I only know one person named "Mr. Gallagher"
And he is a broker, so I am certain that he considers himself damned smart. They all do, <rolling eyes>.

6. One of the best sites on the net...
I don't remember all of it either. I use the Internet Movie Database, which has every movie, actor, writer, director, producer, etc., since filmmaking began...
