Poll question: Who was the better Tricky Dick? newfaceinhell and I are for
Dan Hedaya in "Dick," but Seabiscuit is going for Anthony Hopkins in "Nixon."

1. I voted for Hopkins.
He kinda made me feel sorry for the bastard.

I love the closing scene in 'Dick' with the banner on the roof.

29. it is not apologist---it is an accurate potrayal of the man
that, from what I have read, is very true to how Nixon really was

6. Well, if we're going there - what about the dude who got to
wear the Nixon mask in that horrible movie with Patrick Swayze and Keanu Reeves - the title of which I am too lazy/unmotivated to search for on Google. :P

but Anthony Hopkins did a masterful job, getting the nuances of the actual man Richard nixon down

14. you don't know what you are missing!
Dick is a really funny parody of the whole Watergate scandal. Two young girls have a crush on Nixon and turn out to be "Deep Throat." I can't explain it - it's just riotous. :)

16. Hey you!
I just watched Oliver stone's Nixon last week. It was weird, there were times when you looked at Hopkins and from the right angle, he really was Nixon. Other times when he just couldn't pull it off at all. The best part is when he says "cawck-taail pawties" He was Nixon when he said that. I voted Hopkins anyway, I haven't seen the other one.:hi: :loveya:

20. Every time Hopkins' face went from scowl to shit-eating-grin he was Nixon.
Also, every time he called Joan Allen "Buddy".
