Woman Finds Mouse Head In Chinese Takeout

Charlestown resident Delphine Hamilton swore off dining out six months ago after being sickened by news reports about restaurant patrons finding rat heads and fingers in their fast-food orders. Now she's wishing she had followed her own lead.

Boston health inspectors shut down Jade Chopsticks in Dorchester last night after Hamilton claimed she found a small mouse head in a ``House Special'' takeout order.

``I'll never eat out again. I'll cook my own food,'' said Hamilton, 53.

Inspectors pulled a health permit for the Morton Street restaurant after a surprise inspection uncovered evidence of rodent infestation, rodent droppings and ``unsanitary conditions,'' said Boston Inspectional Services spokeswoman Lisa Timberlake.

Hamilton ordered the ``House Special'' Wednesday, which includes shrimp, ham, chicken and fried rice.

Digging in, Hamilton discovered something that made her vomit.

``It was disgusting looking. It had two little black eyes and a little narrow snout. It was bone. It had no hair on it or nothing,'' she said.

Hamilton brought her order to inspectional services yesterday. No one answered the phone last night at the restaurant.

FAKE finger in the Wendy's chili). This sounds like a copy cat situation.

But then again, I know Dorchester, Mass., and you might not want to eat at SOME restaurants there.

Menu should have read "fried mice", then she wouldn't have a leg to stand on.
