Help needed with plastic/glue work...
Ok, I didn't know where to ask this. No one seems to know.

I bought an X2 glowring, which is a little thing that fits on your keychain. I think it's cool, and I like it, the only problem is that the end is glued on crookedly.

They seem to use plastic and glue in the construction. My question is can I fix the alignment by heating it without damaging the plastic? If so, how would I go about that?

Thanks... and yes this is an odd question.

2. How do I pull it apart?
Should I heat it first, through the plastic, with a gluegun or something? Am I correct in assuming the glue has a lower melting point than the plastic? Thanks again.

3. Depends On The Glue
Some melt the plastics so they can intermingle and bond. Others act as an adhesive. I would try to pry the parts apart with a thin knife blade and try to glue them together with a Hot Melt type glue.

5. "If it Ain't Broke, Don't FIX it!"
If the end is functioning, leave it be. they use plastic cement to make these things, which is a solvent that melts the plastic, then evaporates, leaving the 2 pieces "welded" into 1.

You'll destroy it.
