Semester OVER! What should I do with my SUMMER VACATION? (evil laugh)
Haaaaaaa Haaaaaa.... no work until August 29th.

SO, I'm headed for England for that Women Writers program for two weeks. And I wanted to teach an Artist's Way group all summer, but so far have one person interested.

"Oh Rhett, whatever shall I do?"

Besides the initial shots of tequila and dancing on tabletops (which seems to get old after a few weeks)....

Whatcha think?

Daquiris on the deck!

1. Damn...
I still have a week left. Five finals next week!!!

When do you go to England? Are you a journalist or??? Sounds fun!

Anyway, my recommendations include:

Sleeping in late.
Taking roadtrips.
Drinking like a fish (OK, it does get old).
Spending time in the sunshine!

Wait, sounds like my summer :)

2. Okay... secret of my success ----> I don't give finals.
I figure I've stuffed my students with expertise and ideas, they've had tests, given reports, written a ZILLION papers.

What will one more 2 hour test (w/o using the actual writing process that I teach!) show me? Nah... how can I test in complete contradiction to what I've taught? No way.

So... my students are finito.

Meanwhile -- I'm a writer, so off I go to the UK.... to write.
Currently working on yet another novel.

And... a road trip does sound tasty.
Sunshine -- YES -- whenever the sun decides to shine again (w/warmth) in VT... I'll be the dudette in shades with a book or laptop and a glass of something imbibible (is that a word??)

xoxox

4. On the other hand.... we make no money, so I guess ...
it all equals out?

Maybe I should get a tin can, some shades and a cane?
Will write for food?

6. Hey! I do like her -- a guilty beach-read pleasure. Title?
Isn't she on #11?
I'm assuming a Stephanie Plum?
#10 wasn't her best, but I live in hope.
