Edit: I mentioned you today.

We were talking about Ruby Payne's book on poverty and she has a test in there to see if you could survive among the wealthy and one of the questions was "Do you know an artist that you support by purchasing their work?" Or do you have a favorite living artist or something like that and I said "I do have a friend on the internet who is an artist and I have ANOTHER friend who has purchased one of his works."

The guy I was talking to said, "Doesn't count."

I said "He lives in New York."

The guy said "New York City?"

Yeah. He said that comes closer but still doesn't count. Interesting how he gave me points for the fact that you live where you live.

Anyway, I'm glad we're past the days of the early 90s where, when you said you had an internet friend, people acted as if you just said "imaginary friend."
