I have some questions about Showtime's "The L Word" for all you fans...
1. Does this season kind of suck compared to the first season, last year? Do they have different writers this season, or did they just set a high standard for themselves in the first season? I don't know... in my opinion, not a single episode has been as good as any episode last season, but you guys might disagree.

2. What do you think is going to happen or be revealed in the big "shocking" season finale? Any wild guesses?

3. Why is it rated TV-MA? Yes, it's about lesbians, but I have seen worse stuff that is rated R... wait a minute... if it was rated only R, it would upset religious organizations, right?

4. How is this show doing in the ratings? Do you think it will stay on the air for a while?

Peace,

1. They have a three season guarantee.
Most cable series do, because they need three seasons' worth of episodes to get a syndication/video sale deal.

2. I didn't see it last season
1. I got hooked with Showtime's free preview a couple of months ago. But you're not the first person I've heard of that has the opinion that it was better last year.

2. I don't know - that Mark was the one that raped Jenny? Uh..Helena's actually a man? Tina loses the baby? I don't even feel like they're building up to a shocking season finale, actually.

3. All the naked women and hot throbbing lesbian sex, probably. I'm not a big fan myself (I'm not a big fan even if it's naked men and hot throbbing hetero sex), but you know, you have to think about the children.

4. I think the dvd for the first season did really well, and it's actually a pretty good show, especially compared to like, Queer as Folk. I would think that it would stick around for awhile.

3. Have you any of the episodes from the first season?
They should be available at Blockbuster. Tina's (Laural Holloman) performance in the dramatic season finale last season all by itself was, in my humble opinion, worthy of an Emmy nomination.

Peace,
