I'm curious, is there any interest in a Western Mass meet-up?
Perhaps sometime this summer? I know there was talk about a Conn. meet-up next month, but I know I've talked to a few people about meeting up somewhere, say Amherst, and getting together.

Amherst would be best for me since my brother lives there (providing me a place to stay) and my best friend lives in Holyoke and works at the Amherst Brewing Company (at least she used to) and might be able to provide some suggestions on where to go.

It would give a chance for those who have trouble getting to Boston to meet, and be less of a strain for those who come from Connecticut.

So what do you all think, any Ideas or opinions will be welcome.

:hi:

2. I haven't had a chance to deal with my CT idea. I would
go to Western Mass -- maybe we could combine CT and Western Mass at Granville State Park or something. Not the Mardi Gras!

3. Granville State Park where's that?
Tho me, I'm personally attached to the North Hampton/ Amherst idea.

Tho I'd like to go to the Conn. one as well.

8. Would be great too see you again Mat
I had too much fun at the last two meet-ups I went to, I thought I'd organize my own.

Can't wait for the next one...whereever it may be.

10. Northampton is a good place
It's right off Rte. 91, about 2 hours from Boston and 1 hour from Hartford CT. The Northampton Bowl, with big bar, is at the exit ramp and a couple of motels are in staggering distance. It's a nice college towns, and VERY blue.

11. Yep, that's why I suggested it...
Plus, it's a beautiful country in the summer, and all the college kids have left town, so more room for us grown-ups...

21. I think I'm done with this stuff for awhile.
I'm one of those people just better off living a quiet sort of existence. I have enough to do just working, taking care of my children, and getting through my divorce.

23. Oui, Oui
Greenfield-er here! Hell yeah I'd go, as long as it fits into my schedule. Amherst or Noho both sound like excellent locales. Many coffee houses, bars, and restaurants in both towns.
