but I was in New York last week and caught a set by Curtis Stigers at the Jazz Standard. What amazing players!

Ben Allison is usually playing bass with somebody when I'm in NYC, but this time around I just barely missed the runs for the Jazz Composer's Collective.

I guess I need to try Jimmy Mak's right here in Portland some day soon.
