1. fellow virginian here

my family in Revere (ruh-vee-uh)(just north of Boston) tell me I sound like I'm from a farm.

:shrug:
down here in Chesapeake, folks tell me I sound like a Yank.

2. The thing about living in Virginia is that you can sound any which way

Transplants from north and south, military, immigrants, whatever.

This is pretty much an open state when it comes to accents
