The best Simpsons quote...actually never came from an episode.

Back in January of 1992 President Bush gave his SOTU address where he urged Americans to be more like the Waltons and less like the Simpsons. After the episode that week there was a short clip of Bart watching the SOTU Address. When Bush says that the camera flips to Bart and we hear:

"Hey, we're like the Waltons. We're praying for the end of the depression, too."

1. Since then, I think I've seen it incorporated into the beginning of the
episode...there's an interesting "extra" on one of the DVD seasons about I think they guy who did MTM (can't think of his name) and his encounters with Barbara Bush over this--she's a real piece of shit.
