Tree Cutters Coming!!! Tree Cutters Coming!!!!
Any moment now big trucks will wheel into the yard and the crew will get to work. Two 80 ft, 100+year old pecans are outta here!!!

Both are dead, both threaten houses (ours and our neighbors) and both are on the property line. They'll also take out several deformed "trash trees" that grew up between them. Big ass crane to lift the trunks, and a giant chipper-shredder and lots of hot young guys working their asses off!

Its gonna be a fun day!

2. You mean it's after 6 a.m. and they're still not there?
Every neighborhood I've lived in, they always make it a point to get there before the sun rises to ensure that my day gets off to a jolting start.

5. These guys are driving in from about 40 miles away.....
and I think they stay out half the night partying. They're licensed, bonded and have insurance, though, so I have no problem with them.

9. Its sickening, but we can't GIVE it away down here....
Pecan is plentiful and they'll probably wind up taking it to the local landfill. A waste and a shame....

12. Make sure they grind out the roots!
Have a great day and enjoy your new view and happy new tree planting!

Just remember to keep 15 feet between the new trees I'm SURE you're going to plant, and before you plant, look UP to make sure they're not in power wires as they mature.

Keep them 8 feet from utilities and driveways as well.

14. Hell, I take pictures....I'm giving the young guy who runs the company
copies of pictures I took the last time they worked for me. He wants to use them to show prospective customers.

Speaking of windows, our bedroom on the 2nd floor is only about 15 feet from where they'll be working so I have an EXCEPTIONAL view.

Ah, the responsibilities of supervising young guys doing physical labor....Life is good...
