Our Big Landscaping Project Starts Saturday!!!
Spending the tax refund, plus another pile, to do a full on "Cottage Style" landscaping project. Professionally done, with blueprints and everything!

We saw the artist's rendering yesterday. VERY COOL! My wife is bouncing off the walls over this!

Two major benefits: The edging and borders, plus all the rock and mulch, means WAY less grass to cut and areas to trim! Secondly, it will finish off everything we've done for the last 17 years. (When we moved in there was a very poor lawn, no bushes, no flowers!)

We're pretty psyched! Just thought the DU gardeners and lawn nuts would like to know.

2. I'm jealous
Don't forget to invite us to your first garden tea party or at least post pics.

Are you going to have a water element? I've always liked little ponds or waterfalls or even a fountain.

4. No Water Stuff
Too fru-fru for me. My wife would love it, but we had to draw the line somewhere. I don't want to spend any more money than we're already spending. It's probably already hit the conspicuous consumption point.

I sent you a PM. Let me know.

5. Make that THREE major benefits!
Resale value, baby!

They say landscaping is one of the things that pays back the most if you ever sell.

Congrats! I'm in the process of creating a backyard paradise myself. Only mine's going to take a LITTLE longer!

Make sure to post piccies when it's all done. I'd love to see it.

10. Have It Already
The landscaper does that and will send us the B4/Aftr by email. B4's are taken already. And, it's a late winter picture so there will be a drastic difference.
