Jesus
Would Jesus, that humble carpenter of Nazareth, have approved of pope John Paul II?

9. He predated all the pageantry of the Church --
-- but he might have wondered why the most vulneralble of the flock were too often slighted and just a very few have lavish adornments.

Down the line a bit, I think Jesus might have had a wonderful conversation with Francis of Assissi.
