Saul Bellow died???

Fuck, I must be out of it. I just read about it...apparently he died Tuesday. One of literature's greats.

I mean, a Nobel Prize in Literature -- who cares!?!

Christopher Hitchens has a very moving tribute to Bellow on the current SLATE site and novelist Ian McEwan writes the lead piece in the NYTimes op-ed page today -- a superb commeroration. Both pieces well worth it.
