1. The scary part
Is how the Fanboys are going to take this a little too seriously and rip it apart by comparing it against the Books, TV show and Raido Show.

But the Producers really have brass balls by putting Mos Def as Ford.

3. The Vogons aren't greyish green!
They're greenish grey! Bastards! I will never see this travesty, or the terrible sin they have committed against the noble memory of one of the twentieth century's most talented writers! This is another classic being raped by Hollywood producers, like Lord of the Rings and Spiderman!!! (may Peter Jackson and Sam Raimi rot in hell forever!!!)

Richard Hatch is the finest actor of his generation!!!!!!!

Did I get the fan-boy tone right? How about the hyperbole? Should I work on the hyperbole a little more?

2. I am fearful that its going to be one hellacious disaster
I just can't see a Disney subsidiary being able to pull this off. But I must go and see it, so I guess we will find out at the end of the month.

4. Didn't Douglas Adams write the script before he died?
Besides the fact that it's freaking Hitchhikers movie, this should be enough incentive for the nitpickers and naysayers to sew their lips to this movie's ass.

I have a feeling that this is either going to be very good, or dreadfully bad.

9. Dream on
Look at how many people loathe Lord Of The Rings.

There will always be those who just can't suspend their disbelief, settle back, and enjoy things for what they are.

5. Woo-hoo!
My dilemma is this...

I haven't read the books in years. So should re-read them before the movie comes out or just wait and see the movie?

7. I just read them all
finishing "Mostly Harmless" now. I'm looking forward to the movie. It will be impossible to stay true to the book as seen already in the trailers (Zaphod's single head). But I don't think Adams fans are as rabidly zealous as Tolkien fans.

8. If you look closely
Zaphod does have two heads in the trailer, they're just not side by side. The other one pops up occasionally.

10. Now I understand why PBS recently re-ran the series.
In the trailers for the new movie, they seem to be billing it as a serious drama.
