11. I read about the story behind Sexy Sadie in the UK Guardian
a few weeks ago. I don't have a link, unfortunately, but you may be able to do a search. Anyway, the reporter wrote that Lennon originally titled the song "Maharishi," after he and I believe the other Beatles grew disillusioned by their erstwhile meditation hero's increasing venality and flair for self-promotion. Not wanting to be controversial, he changed the lyrics of the song to turn him into the manipulative, unattainable, implacable bitch we know too well.

Did you list Honey Pie? That's not too popular on disc 2, I don't think.

12. Yes. If you replace "Sexy Sadie" with "Maharishi," it makes sense.
Oh, and replace the "she"s with "he"s and the "her"s with "him"s...

6. Savoy Truffle!
It's one of my favorite Harrison songs. Does anyone else see it as a subtle tirade against Paul?

7. Certainly the "we all know Ob La Di Bla Da" line is a shot at Paul.
John and George both hated the song, although they both seem to be having fun on the White Album version.

10. Allegedly he got the inspiration for the song...
...when he saw a box of chocolates at Eric Clapton's house. But the lyrics sound so bitter...

You might not feel it now but when the pain cuts through, you're gonna know and how

The sweat is gonna fill you head, when it becomes too much, you'll shout aloud

But you'll have to have them all pull out after the savoy truffle

You know that what you eat you are, but what is sweet now turns so sour

We all know ob-bla-di-bla-da, but can you show me where you are.

This is when they were starting to have issues with Paul's alleged controlling nature and their musical styles were going in different directions, so I think it was a veiled warning to McCartney.

Then again, I also think they purposely put "Paul is dead" clues in their songs.
