What was the deal with "House" last night?
Last week one of the residents was going to get fired - just to please asshole Vogler... But last night, no sign of Vogler and all three were puzzling about a patient and needling each other - as if nothing happened.

1. I think it was an old episode
because they all seemed to be getting to know each other

4. Oh. We were out of town last month
and still have one House episode that we taped but have not yet seen. Wonder whether this was the one, since we have seen all of them and this was new.

Thanks.

for the same reason as you.

I started bitching that the illness-related-psychosis-slap musta been a popular device since they'd jusdt used it the week before (the little heavy girl that went apewire)

3. He is obviously confused
I don't think that he has ever have any relationship and the way she is open about the fact that she likes him as a person confuses him. Besides, any relations between a supervisor and a subordinate should be frowned upon.

5. He did have a girlfriend
And, apparently, it was pretty serious.

Her name was Tracy and she's a Constitutional lawyer (ahem) living somewhere else, maybe NYC.

In one of the episodes, his friend, the department head played by Robert Sean Leonard, mentions to him that he's having dinner with her and asks House if it's all right with him.

House blows him off with a "Sure, no problem," but the look on his face is startling.

As for your second comment, about the rules - you haven't been paying attention to House, or else you'd know that he sees rules as things to be broken. That, I think, is what House is all about.

I am so nuts about that show. Can't wait until it's out on DVD.

8. But why does Hugh Laurie have a fake US accent?

I don't get why they're doing that,
The blond intern has his thing, that Doc on ER "Mahwk, Mawhk" was English.

I find it disconcerting.

9. Why does that bother you?
The blonde intern (Chase) is Australian.

Why does Laurie's doing an American accent bother you?
