Things that never cease to amaze

Three things that never cease to amaze me:

1) The things that make me a freak in my daughters' eyes are the same things that make me cool in my son's.

2) All that junk the skimmer pulls from the marine aquarium.

3) No matter what time puppies and small children are put to bed, they wake at roughly 5 a.m., needing attention and toilet facilities.

What three things amaze and/or confuse you?

3) My inability to prioritize, despite massive incentives.
