Just watched EDWARDS on Hardball repeat.
Heard about this interview, but hadn't seen it. Edwards answered some really tough questions, questions that would have Shrubbie wetting the bed.

I wasn't totally satisfied with his answers, but he really has potential. I was very, very impressed with him. I think his heart is right, and he would do good for all people. He really believes it...not fake...I can tell.

I think Clark/Edwards would bring a lot of sensible souls (moderate republicans and true Christians, True Conservatives) to the polls to vote for a Democrat.

3. I think that either Clark or Edwards will be VP.
Probably under Kerry. I suspect that is the way the party bigwigs are planning it.

Yeah, I wish he could be the prez nominee, but I doubt it will happen. He should have 'caught fire' by now, altho there is still time. But not much.

4. Wonder why not many are interested in Edwards?

I really think he has a great chance to beat Bush. Is it because he seems competent, but not Superman, like a Dean or Clark?

5. Many people try to match the candidates' views with their own,
at the primaries stage of the election cycle. I think ONLY in terms of which one can WIN in November.

Otherwise, what is the point?? The views of three of the 'minor' Dem candidates match mine far closer than does Edwards', but they could not possilbly beat GWB. So I would not even think of voting for them in the primary, because we HAVE TO win in 2004! The world may well depend on it.

6. Your last sentence said it all
"The world may well depend on it." The choice(s) we make in November 2004 are more important than ever. This election will be the ugliest we've ever seen (with a Bush running how could be be anything else?) and I can even envision passions getting out of control (possible violence?). The Dem nominee (whoever it is) will not run a Dukakis-like, or even Gore-like campaign-and the Bushies will retaliate full-throttle.

7. maybe because he seems too young?
Give him a few more cycles of being senator, then maybe he would have more support. I for one really like him. I hope to see him as vp.

9. That doesn't hurt him.
He is 50. TR, JFK and Big Dog were all younger when inaugurated. No, I agree with the other posters: he is just not getting media attention, and we know why!!!

8. The First Five Minutes Of That Interview Showed Why..
He supported the invasion of Iraq...that shows he has poor judgment as anyone with an honest brain knew Shrub was lying to the American public to go to war in service of the PNAC vision of Pax Americana....

11. I saw the rerun tonight. Edwards did very well. He was ..
tough and more agressive than he usually is.

12. He has that way of being tough and aggressive, without seeming rude.
Just like Big Dog. It's a Southern thing...

Wish I could do that. :-)
