The Arc of the Universe is long, but it bends towards justice.
True or not? I would say not. It certainly doesn't happen fast enough and in a lot of cases, it doesn't happen. If one could come up with counterexamples, please let me know.

1. From King's perspective...
... I suppose it did--his movement pushed for and obtained changes in law which enabled justice for a significant number of people.

These days, with so many forces inside and outside government seeking to undo what he accomplished, particularly with regard to voting, it often doesn't seem as if it does, does it?

But, what King also proved is that justice doesn't come of its own accord--people have to fight for it--and when you see more people fighting for that justice, maybe the tide will have turned against this 30-year-long assault by the right wing on basic human, civil and economic rights.
