Now watching the director's cut of Das Boot
I love wartime submarine flicks. My all-time fave is Ice Station Zebra (Rock Hudson).

4. It was a pretty good flick
a bit over-dramatized for my taste, but that's purely subjective on my part.

6. "U-571" was a festering heap of decaying, maggot-ridden
..well, you get the point. A wretched exercise in clichéd jingoism put together by a jerk that DVD extras reveal as a supercilious, arrogant little f***knuckle. Too bad, because I loved his eaerlier film, Breakdown.

His Terminator 3 was anything but compelling, too. I can't remember a thing about it except for the bad Terminex being a most bodacious babe.

9. As was shown on South Park a few weeks back...
...it's always the black dude who ends up sacrificing himself for no particular reason whatsoever.

Sad.
