10. Well, now your edited question alters the context of my answer!
Glasses can be sexy, yes. I just put up with them because I really like being able to see.

20. I agree....the edit changed everything.
Yes, glasses are very sexy. On both men and women. I have several pairs with lovely frames....my faves are translucent multi-blues. And everybody looks really good up close to me, all blurry...it's as if I have vaseline on my eyeballs. Hahaha. I can see fine beyond arm's length.
Now, if the rest of you would lube up yer eyeballs I'd look great all the time too.
Another of life's cruel jokes...hit your 40s and go blind. ;)

5. Glasses since I was eight....oh those many years
ago.

A story....

When I found out I had to get glasses I wasn't happy. My mom was going to take a pair of old glasses from one of my sisters and have new lenses put in them. Plastic frames were hardly in vogue in the early 1970s and I really wanted stop sigh shaped wire frames (I was EIGHT remember). My younger brother got glasses the year before and since they were the stereotypical nerd glasses (black frames) he was teased mercilessly and just put them in his desk at school and didn't wear them.

My mom knew this so she gave in and allowed me to get the stop sign shaped glasses.

I thought I was SO cool!

6. If I want to be able to see anything.
I won't die if I take them off, though. I hate contacts; having something on my eyeball gives me the creeps. It takes me two days to recover from the puff of air they shoot at your eye for a glaucoma test.

7. Glasses since.... 10
and they can be sexy on some... but for others, no. For instance, sunglasses (perscription or not) do not look good on redheads.

11. Me too.
I have worn them for so long. Now I pick out really unique, funky glasses because it is important to me. I think if I did not have to wear them I might anyway for the fun of them. Mine are round and red and white like candy, I adore them.

15. those sound really cute!
My current ones are a dark purple metal frame, slightly cat eyed and the part that rests on the ear have a very subtle animal print, my husband calls them my "ChaCha' glasses.

18. See!
They can be so fun. Ooooh I like the sound of yours. Mine are getting old, I really should get new ones but since I like the odd pair they are usually expensive enough that I have to wear them for some time. Purple metal? I would like that. ChaChas, cool. Mine look like Life Savers.

12. I really don't think that glasses are, by themselves, sexy or not...
It's what sort of person is wearing those glasses! If the person is good to look at and has an attractive personality, then the glasses don't matter one bit. Of course, ugly glasses don't help, lol! My husband and I have worn glasses all our lives. The old saying: "guys don't make passes at girls wearing glasses" is sooo untrue. Never stopped any guy from making a pass at me! Since college, anyway...

19. I think about that all the time,
but I'm a graphic designer. If I wind up being one of those 1 100th of a percent (or whatever) of lasik patients whose vision gets fucked up by the procedure, it's bye-bye to my livelihood. If I were in any other field, I might think the risk was worth it.

I'm glad you're happy with your results, though, it must be a great relief not to have to deal with misplacing glasses or maintaining contacts anymore.

Sometimes yes, sometimes no.

Personally, I like the way I look with glasses. (Though definitiely not sexy on me, haha.)

17. I've worn glasses since I was in high school...
Personally glasses on a man is sexy. It makes him look distinguished. The only thing that pisses me off is, I've never been able to take off my glasses in a dramatic moment to make a point like they do in the movies. They always get stuck around my ears and ultimately mess up my hair, so when I'm trying to be serious, I leave em on!
