Finance minds: Who knows what an FID is?

Is it a fixed income derivative? What I need to know is whether it is a stock, bond or mutual fund.

I guess there are other uses for the acronym. What is the context?

2. It is a GMAC CM Bank FID

from Morgan Stanley. It was an investment of my mother's and I am trying to do the taxes and Turbotax wants to know what it is and I am clueless.

3. I would guess that the investment is in Fiduciary shares

or something of that nature. Fiduciary shares are shares held in a trust--something like a fund. FID would mean fiduciary rather than some other class. That's my best guess.
