1. Cherry Garcia changed how I look at Ice Cream!
It's my favorite easily. The others are great too but don't come close. And Cherry Garcia was so original and what a great tribute to the Greatful Dead!

2. Vanilla Carmel Fudge
Normally I can exhibit a bit of restraint, but if I bring one of these home at night, it won't see the dawn.

Tough to find 'round here, which makes my jones that much worse.

4. I hate Ben & Jerrys, as well as Haagen Dazs.
They are both WAY too sweet and heavy on milk-fat. If I hat to eat store-bought (:puke:) I would get Breyer's Vanilla or Mint chocolate chip, But nothing beats homemade.

Ben & Jerry's is like frozen, flavored & sweetened peanut butter. Blech.

5. They've actually lost quality
A few years ago they were bought out. Before they had been an independent small company. I noticed their loss of quality right off the bat after the sell out.

Breyer's ain't bad. I've had that before.

9. no question
I just said that below. They have gone downhill since being taken over by the mega huge food company that bought them out.

6. S.N.A.F.U.
There are so many great flavors of Ben and Jerry's (and apparently one I've never seen before...that Coffee Heathbar Crunch sounds amazing), but my absolute favorite has to be S.N.A.F.U.

It is (was?) one of those "mixed-up" combination flavors, like "Half-Baked" (Brownie Fudge and Choc. Chip Cookie Dough) - that one's my husband's favorite. I don't remember which two flavors combined to make it...I think one was called Britannia or something?...but it's strawberry ice cream, tiny chocolate covered vanilla wafer bits, and fudge swirl. SOOOOO good. I only saw it when I was in college in Rochester, NY - it's nowhere to be found here in St. Louis, sadly. It may be all for the best, though, as I'm betting that ice cream was a large contributor to my freshman-15-and-then-some! :)

7. Phish Food
I think the frozen yogurt version tastes better than the ice cream, actually. A lot less fat, too.

8. You know B and J has gone downhill since they sold the company to
whatever huge corporate conglomerate it was that bought it. Just look at the calorie count: it's a good thirty percent less than it used to be. Why? Less stuff and more air.
