How come there's no American Ambassador to Britain?
Hasn't been one in London for 262 days now. And we have a "special relationship" and everything. Is he, in true White House tradition, just on a long vacation? Maybe he's afraid to leave the country.

2. Might be wise for an Ambassador to the Court of St. James (UK)
Being in with the horsey crowd is the best way to become chums with Elizabeth R. It's not improbable that she might at Churchill Downs herself to see the race!

3. He's been an owner/breeder for years;
far longer than he's been ambassador.

Here's his breeding operation. Take a gander...the top stallions go for $300k a pop, so to speak. http://www.lanesend.com/stallions/roster.asp

Big money there, that's for sure.

I don't know where the big Q will be in May, but she is doing a bit of a Canadian tour in June.

4. I'll go! I'll go! I would be honored, for I would be the first
