Does anybody else hate the AOL food slop commercial?
I can appreciate the food fight in Animal House as much as anybody, but when I stop to think about it wasting food always seems to be in bad taste to me.
And here we have a major American corporation, at a time when famine is killing millions in Africa and food banks are being strained all over America, trying to sell their product with a brazen display of wasting food.
And when I first saw the commercial it really didn't bother me, but I got the point the first time, and every time I see it now it justs strikes me as increasingly disgusting. Who wants to watch food on a plate turned into food in the stomach?
Again I don't know what AOL is thinking, but it doesn't seem like such a good idea to me to tie your product identification into an advertisement that has the potential to make the viewing audience nauseous.

4. It's beyond lame
and the idiot who allows the other idiot to slop up his lunch walks up to the counter to pay for it. If someone did dthat to my lunch they'd be wearing it.

5. The McDonalds commercials are worse, but yes it's terrible
I hated the older AOL commercials too. The ones where the corporate AOL office pretended they cared about their customers.

6. That's how I feel plus
the fact that when I see that commercial, it makes me wonder who would stand there and let someone do that anyhow. It looks like it ought to be illegal to destroy someone else's lunch that way and then cop an attitude and walk off like that.

7. I hate it too. On top of everything else, it insults the audience by
claiming that AOL is the one and only way to save home computers from malware. I don't think most people are as ignorant as AOL would like them to be... :eyes:
