Not MY God. Bush's God. Jackson's God. Some OTHER God.

Jackson: 'I'm a warrior'; ordeal is painful
Accused pop singer says he gains strength from God

Sunday, March 27, 2005 Posted: 11:23 AM EST (1623 GMT)

LOS ANGELES, California (CNN) -- Michael Jackson, on trial for alleged child molestation, said Sunday his belief in God is helping him through the ordeal, but described the allegations as "very painful."

In an interview with the radio program "Keep Hope Alive with the Rev. Jesse Jackson", Michael Jackson said, "I gain strength from God. I believe in Jehovah, God, very much. And I gain strength from the fact that I know that I am innocent.

"None of these stories are true. They are totally fabricated. It's very sad, it's very, very painful. I pray a lot. That's how I deal with it, and I'm a strong person. I'm a warrior, and I know what is inside of me. I'm a fighter, but it's very painful at the end of the day. I'm still human, you know. I'm still a human being, so it does hurt very, very, very much."

Monday will mark the beginning of the fifth week of Jackson's trial. During testimony last week, explicit sexual images from magazines found in a briefcase in Jackson's bedroom were shown in the courtroom, laying the foundation for testimony by forensic analysts who tested them for fingerprints.

1. Hell Wacko just compared himself to Mandela
However, he said he believes he is just the latest of several "black luminaries" to be unjustly accused, citing former South African President Nelson Mandela and former heavyweight boxing champions Muhammad Ali and Jack Johnson as others.

2. If he's trying to pander to public sympaties, he will be disappointed.
Come on. Every defense attorney tells their client, "make sure you talk about God. People will believe you if they think you are religious."

What is this "warrior" shit? I am a warrior, but at the end of the day, I feel pain? Is this Sparticus? Chief Blackhawk? Indiana Jones?
