1. Can you lend me a half-hour of what you just did?
I could use some exercise!

3. I was feeling guilty
yesterday not only did I not go, but I had a coke - a nice, sugary monstrosity of a drink. I love it. It's my dark mistress :P

4. I've got 20 lbs to lose
I quit smoking about 5 months ago and replaced it with stuffing my freaking face :+

24. I've got 30 pounds to lose, and I quit smoking last October. So...
Edited on Sat Mar-26-05 10:38 PM by Seabiscuit
you beat me to the gym. You should be proud. My New Year's resolution was to get back to the gym and I've been cheating myself. But every day I swear I'm going to do it and one day I'll make it. I've been through this before so I know that once you make it and then make it back and then a third and fourth time, it gets a lot easier. Next thing you know you look and feel like a 20 year old (well, not me... I turn 60 in May) and enjoy the regularity of the exercise.

I still haven't gotten around to it. :P

6. Forget 1.5 hours. Do 28 minutes on the EFX556 -
It rocks and your ass will definitely thank/hate you for it.

8. I did 45 min on an elliptical glider, 30 on the stairmaster

and 15 on the treadmill. When I'm at my target weight I'm going to try to achieve a belly fit for beach display.

A gal can dream, can't she?

edit - that machine looks tough - do you have one?

9. I belong to a YMCA - it is tough, but for fast results
nothing can compete. Just ask progmom.

11. What is the EFX556? One of the best workouts
I have found is the old Nordic Trac ski machine. The gym I go to has
a couple of them and I have only seen a handful of people ever using them.

14. OK I have spent hours and hours on that. Myself I prefer
the stairmaster, Nordic Trac or a rower.

20. I had to laugh
when I was a gym member a few years back. Lots of guys would
spend an hour or two breaking their balls burning fat, then head
straight down the pub to put it all back on :D

21. I've lost six lbs over the last two weeks
by cutting out snacks between meals and skipping an
unnecessary meal I was having at 6PM.

You feel starved for a day, less hungry the next day and pretty
normal from day 3 on. The human body gets used to regular
feeding habits VERY quickly.

17. That's why I stopped exercising.
Edited on Sat Mar-26-05 08:29 PM by Placebo
I'd do it for like an hour or more, and I'd still be fat and look the same. Except then, I'd be fat and all gross and sweaty and red. What's that about?

25. That's about how long I spend at the gym every other day.
15 minutes on the rowing machine.
30 minutes on weight machines.
25 minutes on the treadmill.
10 minutes in the steam room or jacuzzi.
Then a quick shower and I'm off.

I've lost 15 pounds in the last 6 weeks and I'm starting to look damn hot if I do say so myself.
