Edited on Sat Mar-26-05 05:08 PM by Gonnabuymeagun
in a party that represents a minority of American citizens and, most likely, a minority of american voters should be able to exercise control of the majority because they leverage MONEY and INFLUENCE (within the Republican party). Basically the leaders of the religious right are evangelical racketeers duping their followers and using that money to infect the political process with their agenda.

3. Yet, when over a million marched against war, the media sez no story there
for us to cover because it's only a minority marching.

The wingnuts get wall to wall coverage for weeks with a few hundred people standing around Elian's cousin....uh...I mean the Schindlers.

5. Yeah the "fringe left" is the majority in the opposition party, but we're
to be ignored and marginilized. Their "fringe" pushes the big fat flabby middle around.

6. I remember when I was in school...
When they used to tell us how BAD the USSR was, because the media over there was completely controlled by the rulers:

"The Russian media is nothing but propaganda and lies...

...any reporter who doesn't follow the Party Line would immediatly lose his job...

...no criticism or even QUESTIONING of the leaders is allowed...

... the citizens learn to INFER the truth by observing the things that DON'T get reported..."

WOW, thank GOD the USSR broke up! Life under such a regieme must have SUCKED!
