So lemme tells you all about another shitty day I had at work (Explicit)
I work as a computer technician at a retail store which I won't name to cover my ass.

Thankfully before you all say "get another job" I'm working on it okay? and hopefully within a week or so I will be giving my two weeks.

So for starters today the asshole district managers came to "inspect" us all at work (Think of the two Bobs in Officespace only worse)

First off this is how it is in my store: I am responsible for fixing at least 2-3 computers at a time, then I gotta rush to the counter when there are customers present. Usually these cutomers come in already pissed cause they broke something or something isn't working right with their comps. Also I should mention I am responsible for the shipping of products that need to be serviced under the store's service plan.

In other words when Grandma Maybelle breaks her stereo she's gonna complain to me left and right blah blah meantime the fucking phone is ringing off the hook with more assholes calling in to complain and oh yea the 2-3 computers I'm supposed to have done within an hour, well it's been 3 hours passed now why? cause I gotta listen to the banterings of insane idiots who want to join the technology world but want to assume that since this is the 21st century everything outta work just the way they want it to! no training needed right?

So anyways one of the douchebag district managers (who can't help but hit on the 19 year old customer service girls before he comes in to bust my balls) keeps riding me about getting in revenue getting in revenue

Let me tell you how much I care about getting in revenue:

I care more about who is fucking who in those lame ass Tuesday morning soap operas than I do about pushing this good for nothing bum's stock up a quarter of a point.

You know I also discovered something else today: apparently I dunno if in Arizona they enforce being that we are a "right to work state" but supposedly if you speak more than one language and use that to help the place out you're supposed to get a little premium in pay.

Well shit no matter shared with me and you can bet your ass I don't get a premium for all the cash I took in from customers who otherwise would've walked out of the store without dropping a dime were I not there to help them out.

So as far as I'm concerned the next time some dickhead manager asks me to assist with a Spanish speaking customer I'm gonna say I forgot how to speak it and that I think a large pay increase might help me remember.

Thank God I'm pretty much out of this godforsaken place. I got stories oh man you wouldn't believe it unless you work or worked in retail.

2. Sorry Bro.
Vent helps I'm sure. It suck to have a job you hate. Especially when some nimrod with a business degree come in and tell you how to do your job.

3. You know what's funny I'M the nimrod with the business degree
Edited on Sat Mar-26-05 03:07 AM by noahmijo
and that asshole has NO degree!!

But anyways I agree being a recipient of a business degree in information systems the best way to kill a business is to have a by the textbook business degree person try to run things who has no leadership skills and no creative thought process to get things going.

I truly believe if any company wants to raise profit I say pay off the govt to release some of those old mob bosses who had the science of efficiency down pat. I don't mean have them come in to order people killed or whatever I mean just that you need people who simply know how to keep an operation smooth and understands that it takes resources and risk in order to achieve progress.

Anyways luckily this job is simply the first thing I picked up upon graduation to tide me over and help pay off the bills till I get that "real" job.

Venting does help and have the good ears of you and DU really helps alot too :hi:
