that darned anaesthesia <sp> wreaks havoc on our systems. hopefully the sedative will help your Dad. I truly hope he is able to rest and heal quickly. it's frightening and sad when those we counted on for so many years .. a lifetime.. are gone.

does the hospital have a social worker or a psychologist on their staff ??? most do or they have access to one ...

talking things through might really help ... tranquilizers are OK but frankly i think they end up depressing people and zapping all their energy ...
