Just makes things sorta fuzzy and you're sensitive to light. Well worth it to diagnose any eye problems!

During the day, it hurts to be in the sun with wide pupils

5. Make sure you do not have to do any fine work for about 4 hours
You will not be able to see well enough.

:wow: heh... You may be light-sensitive for a while, but it passes rather quickly.

and you're a little fuzzy around the edges, not so noticeble indoors, glaringly obvious outdoors. Make sure you don't have to drive.

15. I've never had it done
the one and only time I ever considered it, my daughter was with me and I drove to the eye doctor so once I realized my driving could be impaired (according to the doctor) I said no. The next time I get my eyes checked though, I'll have my husband take me so I can finally get that done.

20. Yep. Just had it done last week, in fact, at my eye exam.
I dilate really well, so it takes about 6 hours for me to see in focus again. Other than that, though, it's nothing. And I was in focus to drive after an hour.

Afterwards, they'd give me these big blocking sun glasses for outside until it wore off.

It is a useful diagnostic tool & doesn't hurt a bit. I was upset at having to wait while they dilated--unable to read! So I had to watch an out of focus TV for 20 minutes. Do bring your shades.

I have a slight tear in my retina that has to be checked out every year. I think it's pretty cool! But then again, I did acid a few times in the 80's.
