I just watched "Ray" and I was ready to tear it up
But, it was a great movie. I loved Brother Ray and thought no one could do him justice, but Jamie Foxx did a great job and deserved his award.
If you haven't seen it, please do.
It was sad to see what junk can do to you, but I have seen it in person and it never gets easier to watch people drown in that shit.
I just wanted to put in my 2 cents for the flick. It was well worth the watch.

1. It is a great movie.
Ray Charles is an immortal, the "genius."

11. He was a genius
I never questioned that. This movie just helped to show it to people who didn't know.

2. It's on my top ten list.
The music. . . can't ever say enough about the music. And the movie didn't play a 100th of it.

6. I had my doubts
But the movie was terrific.
I did tire however with the drugs at the center, I know, lots of damage done, but so it is.

9. Well ...drugs can make or break a person
I have seen it happen. I think the purpose of the dope in this film is to show another hurdle crossed. Junk is just no good, I have lost friends to it. Maybe I might have a different perspective as to why it was a center of the movie.

13. 23 years clean
I hear what you're saying, drugs grind many into little pieces.
I'm just tired of the puritans.

8. Definitely my favorite movie this year
And Foxx was great in Collateral too... who knew when he was playing Wanda on In Living Color he'd turn in such great performances in serious roles?
