(Ahem) Your post is somewhat in error. The Gridley you refer to was a commander in the US Navy at the battle of Manila Bay (1898). Presumably, therefore, you would want to amend your post to reflect the correct facts. Or perhaps I could just have a nice hot cup of STFU.
