2. I always think back to an episode of "Mad About You", where Helen Hunt
is cooking and doesn't have the right spice, so she uses allspice thinking it was all spices combined. It was a hysterical episode. :hi:

3. mmmmmm allspice
clove, & mace, dust it on turkey and roast too (I mean micro dust) - it enhances "green" spice flavors without being detectable itself.

Also good in baking sweets -

4. Huzzah for Allspice
Our family's version of pork adobo, (a Mexican derived Filipino comfort food which is simmered pork that was marinated in vinegar and spices) , must include the flavors of allspice and cloves to be considered authentic.

5. You can hardly make a proper Corned Beef dinner without it!
And it's great in so many other dishes and baked goods.

I have a fresh bottle of Allspice Berries in the pantry right now. :)

6. I have a great chocolate spice cake recipe
with allspice in it, from the old Joy of Cooking book.
