Porn on Oprah?
I was in the gym facing a line of TV monitors, but was not listening to any and was too far to read the closed captions.

But there was something really bizarre on Oprah. A man fondling a woman's breasts, then her buttocks and then her crotch.

I think that the woman had a plastic surgery to reduce some of these areas - though I don't know what she can possible do to her crotch. I am not a prude but if I had young, or even not so young kids at home I would be horrified for them to watch this.

Anyone has a clue?

2. I saw part of it. her breasts were sagging because of extreme weight loss

They blurred her nipples. Yes, she was getting surgery.

The FCC won't do anything because it's considered "medical."

3. OK, but why show the man's hand fondling her?
and what about sticking his hand between her thighs in the crotch area?

I really think that this was on the verge of porno. The only shot missing was of her face panting..

Yet, I do not watch Oprah so perhaps this is the norm

7. That was a DOCTOR...
the show was on plastic surgery.

Why does this thread remind me of Howard Sterns comments on Oprah when he tried to compare her show to his show...? Which, is closer to porno then Oprahs' show ever could ever be. :eyes:

8. Stern was complaining about Oprah because she did a show on sex...
with explicit dialog. Much of it was sexual slang and not medical terms.

4. What's pretty obvious in the clip is that the "fondling" is in an exam
room, the patient has an open medical gown on, and there's nothing appealing about the condition of the woman's body. I'm not sure that anybody would find this pornographic save for a few who have other issues.

5. As I said - I was not hearing what was said
but the clip itself was disgusting, in my mind. That "exam" looked like fondling. As for "appealing" - beauty is in the eye of the beholder..

I tried to find the clip on her webpage but only the first shot is shown. And, again, I don't think that this would be appropriate for young adults to watch. And at that time they are back from school.

6. It was obviously nonsexual on the show.
That's perfectly acceptable.

Oh, and 'appropriate for young adults?'

I assure you, the instant that they're old enough to appreciate sexual situations on the television, they'll have found free porn on the internet. Really, your protection is both unwanted and unwarranted.

9. The images were not meant to be titilating. It was just to demonstrate...
the severity of her condition.

10. they also showed a fully nude woman
after weight loss but before removing her excess skin through plastic surgery. Oprah gets away with stuff no one else would even imagine showing.
