My mother who abandoned me, owes a million dollars tax. My father's still perfecting ways of making sealing wax, but I cannot say that on this thread and I may have gotten it backwards anyway since I make a point of not listening to the Rolling Stones.
But shoot, my parents are fairly wealthy. If my momma had that kind of dedication she could pay me $10,000 a year to write essays and save me from my terrible, awful, no good, horrible, very bad job. Oh well, she was one of my better customers when I had a bookstore. I kinda felt guilty selling to her.

74. I've spent my day

Sitting in the sun on my back deck sipping white wine and reading a trashy paperback. The flowers are just beginning to bloom in my garden dotting the fresh spring green with pinks, yellows and purple. I stopped reading to watch a wren building a nest in a little bird house I have hanging in the wisteria arbor. He stopped every so often in his labors to burst out in song. It made me look around and realize I was just as happy with my nest I've built.
