That's right, gang. After having done the 1-4 p.m. shift at my college station on Friday afternoon, I'm now going back in to man the air chair from 2-5 a.m. EST.

Tonight, I plan to broadcast a "Forgotten 45s" show featuring AM radio hits of the 1970s that vanished from the airwaves when they fell off the charts and, by and large, haven't been played again since. Of course, when you hear some of that stuff, you'll know WHY it hasn't been aired in years! :evilgrin:

I was listening to "Garage Channel" on SIRIUS a few days ago and they were playing some other tunes by these guys. I was surprised at how good they sounded now (I used to hear them way, way back). Just a thought.

4. Night Train, I am jealous!

I was a college radio dj in the early 80's and I absolutely loved being on the air. I stayed at school one summer and we kept our station going through the summer -- we were all doing 3 or 4 shows a week. It was awesome!

5. I've been involved with WHUS since 1992.

Our staff consists of a 50/50 mix of students and community volunteers. I would be among the latter group, as you may have inferred. :hi:
