I honestly understand people not viewing the show in context being upset by it. I mean no insensitivity to them specifically CO Liberal and his wife. I've been on a friendly basis for 4 years with CO and would not deliberately antagonize him.

The show, however, is farce. Kirstie Alley herself has been harmed by bigotry against fat. That is why she is doing the show..to demonstrate that she CAN find work if the subject is how fat she is but is otherwise shit out of luck.

When the program debuted the other night, it was no accident that Showtime programmed Supersize Me, Fat Actress then Penn and Teller's Bullshit (which is about the informercial exercize business).

There is an undercurrent of antagonism amongst 4 specific posters no matter what the topic is. If the subject were knitting, all knitting threads would eventually get locked in the lounge. That's what need to be addressed more than anything. Those 4 know who they are and I suspect unless you just fell off the turnip wagon, you know too.
