1. Should the DOJ force MS to "unbundle" crashes from their software?
Only fair  :D

Jeez, get the lingo down, sister! Doesn't sound like you've been working on Master Billy's plantation for very long when you talk like that!

6. I don't get many Windows crashes any more

I run Windows NT 2000 Server at home and at work.

If you keep up with the patches, protect yourself from viruses, hackers, etc., and don't run crappy application programs it's quite stable. I've had Win2K boxes run for six months or more without a hiccup.

I generally reboot my home system only when it need to move things around or it's time to vacuum out the furballs from the long-haired cat that sleeps on the machine. I did get a blue screen a month ago right at the moment I touched the keyboard. I attribute that to static electricity.

Blue screens and other crashes used to be a real menace on Windows NT 4 until about Service Pack 4 IIRC. That's all water under the bridge. I feel sorry for people who limp along on brain-dead consumer OSs, especially ME.

7. No one should ever be forced to endure ME
:D That came out well, didn't it?

Anyway, there surely should be or should've been some sort of class action on the piece of crap OS.
