She stayed up long enough to watch Survivor and then immediately crashed.
She also wanted to run around naked today and demanded new stickers. I believe that she is on the road to Wellsville.

17. climb on me, ask for french fries,
read books (some by herself, some with assistance), write little notes (mostly her name), draw pictures, yell for and at Mommy, terrorize her dog. She likes to play with her baby dolls and ride her bike too.

as to the showing off-anything she thinks that she can get away w/ when someone else is around.

20. of course she only shows off when someone else is around
otherwise it wouldn't be half the fun :)

Reading books already? That is great. Get her into it at an early age. And go with her to a library, all the books she can pick out.
So she is terrorizing the dog and you? Who is more patient :)

21. the dog is much more patient.
We go to the library once a week. She enjoys her time there, but she sometimes gets a little naughty there too.
Afterwards, we walk over to a local coffee shop. She gets a chocolate milk and I get an espresso. When I am not looking (I have to pretend not to look) she steals the espresso and starts to drink it.
She loves coffee-but only gets it when she steals it.

22. she drinks espresso???????
at her age??? I am amazed. Espresso is still too strong and bitter for me (but then, I am a tea drinker).
But it sounds like fun to go to the library and then get something to drink. Since I am a librarian I am not borrowing books from the library anymore. It is crazy. As a kid and teen I went to the library weekly to get books, now I rather buy them and have my own library :)

23. I don't understand it.
I have made milk-coffee for her before (mostly milk w/ a splash of coffee), thinking that it would be better than her stealing my coffee. Guess what? She hates it! She prefers to drink the espresso (or even the regular 8 o'clock coffee that I make at home).
Nothing better than stolen coffee.

Sorry to hear that you had a rough night. I had the same some nights ago. Kept waking up. I hate that. Esp. when you finally go back to sleep it is minutes before the alarm goes off.
How do you feel now?

57. "UP" means "I'm awake for the day"
I turned in early.
TV was boring.
I couldn't stay interested in reading and my body was too tired to sit at my computer.
I have an appointment with a cardiologist at 2 today and I'm not looking forward to lots of test. But I would rather find out that the pain in my chest the other night was nothing to worry about than to worry about it.
I guess that explains why I'm up-all-night this time.

66. If I check-in at DU, I'm lost to the world.
I always find something to read and think about.

However, I don't always find someone to chat with ... I'm usually up an hour or so before dawn and doing a total couch potato act by 9 PM unless there is something more interesting going on.

All of my uncles have survived multiple by-pass surgery. My aunt and my father weren't so lucky. They passed away before there was anything that could be done for then.

I'm hoping for the best {like there's nothing wrong and that was merely something that I ate} but it's better to find out and make an intelligent choice, if there's anything to decide.

If you have such familiy history with heart problems you better get checked. Better early on than too late.

73. A small band-aide is better than a zipper!
I had a stress-test done in 1998 and everything was OK. But I saw a new doctor last spring and he told me that I have a heart mummer which is usually nothing to worry about --- but why didn't my cardiologist tell me about it 6 years ago. It's time for me to make sure that all of my body parts are going to work before motorcycling season starts.

I'll see ya right here every morning for :donut: and a :smoke:

78. I'm a librarian
and most of the time I sit on the PC and correct entries in our catalog. It is a small library and barely users.

82. Women do it better!
I grew up believing that to be accepted as equal to a man - I had to be better ... and I am.

83. but then when you are better
they envy you (not all but quite a lot) which is pissing all over again. But it feels good to accomplish things by ourselves.

85. And how are you, my friend?
Your thread got archived and I couldn't update you on what's going on with my little guys and now we have yet another snowstorm. I took my Sara, last week, and she's scheduled for surgery, but now my little guy is sick. I kept watching the snow, today, and and called Saratoga, but finally put it off until tomorrow. I felt horribly guilty until I watched the news and there were five accidents between exits 15-17 and traffic was stopped. I guess it would have been worse to have been stuck in the snow with a sick dog. *sigh* I have an appointment tomorrow afternoon.

And how are you? I read what you said about your tests. I hope that all goes well. Let me know.:hi:

86. I put my office visit off until next week due to local snow, yesterday.
I'm thinking positive but it's my family history added to last weeks chest pain that is prompting this visit to my doctor next week.

Is it Sara's ear that will require surgery?

When is your local vet due back in his office?

88. I guess we're in the same boat as far as snow is concerned.
What a drag! You should reschedule ASAP, especially if you're worried about family history. That is nothing to fool around with and you should be either reassured or catch anything early.:-(

It's the growth on Sara's back that requires surgery. Her ears have been a constant problem, but he said that this one was largely self-inflicted, which I could see, since she kept scratching. They needed to be groomed, but the snow made me put it off. Both dogs got their nails trimmed and Sara's on the mend. I'm thinking of changing her surgery from Friday to Thursday, however, since Steve predicts sleet on Friday. I made the appointment at the end of the week, since I hoped her surgeon would be over his jet lag!:-(

My local vet is back on Monday, but a week and a half too late for Sara. I feel more comfortable with this guy doing the surgery, however. He takes every precaution, to make it as safe as possible. When I adopted her, poor girl, she had two growths, one between her shoulder blades and another in her mouth, of all things, which he successfully removed, so he knows the dog. It's always something!

Let me know how you make out! I've had my share of medical problems over the years, so I can certainly sympathize.
