Who is the best Disney villain?
I'm going for Ursula from The Little Mermaid. She had it all going on (plus I love her voice...)

He groped Cinderella, and the Little Mermaid, too.

3. I agree with you on Ursula
She's probably the only Disney villain, or any cartoon villain, that had left a mark on my mind. :-)

20. Another vote for Maleficient
She scared the beegeebus out of me as a child. :scared:

I also vote for Iago in Hunchback of Notre Dame, if I had seen that in the 70's while growing up, he would have terrified me.

6. the robot Maximillian from The Black Hole

Alright... yes, the movie mostly sucked, but considering after the ship enters the Black Hole, in the final scenes of the movie show Maximillian reigning over Hell... well... Disney didn't exactly cast Satan in a lot of their flicks.

12. Scar in the Lion King....
Who could hurt the beautiful little lion cub?
I had a cat that thought he was Simba. Every time he wanted to go outdoors he'd say, "I'm brave." He was the color of ripened wheat, absolutely beautiful, and had the sweetest face and disposition. I MISS HIM.

22. My top three
Edited on Mon Oct-13-03 09:07 AM by Archae
Most terrifying appearance-The demon from "Night On Bald Mountain," Fantasia. (1940)

Pure nastiness-Maleficent from "Sleeping Beauty."
Scared the snot out me when I was a kid, especially when she erupted, (not changed) into a dragon.

Best recent nasty-Hades from Hercules.
James Woods did his voice so DAMN good.
Then he got his face punched in, literally. :-)
(I think the animators based Hades on Eisner.)

23. I think his name was Claude Frodo in the Hunchback of Notre Dame
He murdered the infant Quasimodo's mother... gave the child a name that meant "half-formed" and then proceeded to torture him and deny him any love or family....all under the guise of God and the Church.

His character is so real....that is why I find him the scariest...

The others are just fantasy.... (octopus lady, bad lions, evil queens who can turn themselves into dragons and old crones...all fantasy...)
