3. WTF?! Get thee to a DVD shop NOW and rent "Fatal Attraction!"
That is the very goddess Glenn Close, in the role for which she SHOULD have rec'd the Academy Award for Best Actress. (Cher stole it. Sorry, Ronny. :hi:)

10. Yep.
I wouldn't quite :puke: myself, but it did make me mad. Still does. Oh, well. I think Cher's was one of those "consolation" Oscars, and she truly should've had it for "Silkwood," and then she wasn't even nominated for "Mask" in which she was fantastic.

13. the closest the Academy ever got to giving it to a movie like "Pulp
Fiction" was the five "biggies" for a high-class horror flick -- "The Silence of the Lambs." True, SOTL deserved it, but it WAS a horror flick. And then, as many believe, so did PF deserve it.

17. Oh, it absolutely deserved it, no doubt about it.
My point was only that it was somewhat outside the spectrum of the usual Academy-Award-garnering genre.

16. Oh, she was SO good in that role, wasn't she?
She ran the gamut from smug to insecure to cold to diabolical. She nailed it.

6. Scary how much she looks like my aunt Penny.
I can't think of the word I want, but between a very hard life and smoking and alcoholism, at age 55 or so Aunt Penny has degenerated (that's really not the word I want....). So sad.
