The bottle, I mean. Why did you have this procedure, if not during a delivery?

16. I had it during three deliveries. I don't know of any other reason
why someone would have one. p.s. The thread was started as a copycat.

4. The shower felt better.
First time I was allowed to shower, I felt so much cleaner.

8. Nobody tells you how icky the first few weeks after you have a
baby really are - physically for the person who just gave birth, I mean.

10. No they don't. It's a huge lie!
Just like when they say that labor pains are "discomfort". My ass it's discomfort!

5. Got all that stuff, but the Sitz bath was most effective.
Of course, I also had hemorrhoids the size of Cleveland, but that is way too much information! :)

wasn't bad. I'd think an episiotomy would be worse. But then I just tore a tiny bit, much smaller than an episiotomy would be.

14. Episiotomies ARE worse
And I'm in a position to know. The first son was born with episiotomy--one neat snip. Second son was 10 lb. 12 oz. and was what they called a precipitous delivery--when my water broke, he basically came flying out.. I tore quite deeply in couple of directions and required extensive needlework to get patched up. It was less painful and healed faster than the episiotomy. The difference seems to be that the episiotomy cut through muscle.

13. No I really didn't notice or feel it (I had no drugs, I just didn't feel
it). Her head was delivered too fast for an episiotomy. And I have always heard tears heal faster and better than episiotomies. I think it took three stitches to fix.

for that endless bleeding that goes on for weeks. Oh yeah, having a baby is a fun fest...and that's without taking care of the baby!

19. That's a sickening sound isn't it?
Especially when one has begged the doc not to do it, but the asshole does it anyway!

20. I didn't have an episiotomy.
I just had a c-section. It was grosser yet. And a bigger pain in the ass-since you have to be careful w/ the incision and with down below-even though nothing came out of there. I would prefer to never have a c-section again.
