Backhanded complements to Republicans thread.
To be fair-and-balanced, we should say some nice things about Republicans tonight. For example: If it wasn't for Republicans I wouldn't know what the word "dystopia" meant.

one person could run up such a big deficit in such a short time.

3. I'm constantly impressed and inspired by the President.
If he can get elected twice despite being virtually retarded, then anyone with millions of dollars and family connections can!

Think about it.

13. I'd love it if there were no need for a DU.
I'd sleep better at night knowing that the country was headed in the direction that I'd prefer.

12. Hmmm... They've been great at getting their talking points out.
Via mass mailings, scare tactics, the MSM, talk radio, etc.

They've been able to get more people to vote against their own interests than I thought was possible. They sneakily plant false ideas in peoples' heads via misinformation and are wonderful at playing to the lowest common denominator by tacitly reinforcing false stereotypes and bigotry.

Don't like fags? Vote Republican.
Want to be a millionaire someday? Vote Republican.
Economy? Democrats are "tax & spend".
Homeland (ugh) Security? Invade!
"Better to fight 'em over there than fight 'em here, commie."
Don't have health care? Work harder, lazyass.

I could go on forever on this.

A nice thing about Republicans? They've been better about staying on message than we have. They're better liars.

15. Plus they have the best "trump card" EVER!
"9-11 changed EVERYTHING!"

They say that as though it means that no dissent will be considered. They need to read (and understand the implications) the PNAC site. These motherfuckers were looking for such an attack on US soil! They knew that it would give them enough of a push to enact legislation, appoint SC justices, scare people, etc. I'm not an IHOP guy, but they got the catalyst that they wanted, didn't they?
