Well damn, I just spent a good 20 minutes less than 8 ft away from a Hawk
and it was the ONE time I didn't have my telephoto lens.

Oh well, I'll have these shots developed, scanned, and posted within a week. It was that Red Tailed one I took a really long distance shot of last year. It was swooping from tree to tree over my head :D so naturally, I was thinking more about my own life than getting the best compositions ;-)

We'll see.

1. How very cool!
There is a couple that nest in a big tree across the street from my house. Luckily, I live in a third floor, so I get to see them a lot.

5. I saw this one on the way to school, he was being chased around
by crows. Then when I was done transferring some files to my jump drive I saw him outside. Vicious looking thing, damn!

9. I will, they are slides
It'll take a bit to get them developed, scanned, and sized to something under 6000x4000 pixels ;-)

7. Those Are Some BIG Birds, Aren't They?
I saw one about 3 feet off the cart path at the golf course a couple of summers ago. Just sitting there on the ground. I was probably about 8 to 12 feet away too. (Definitely not more than 15 feet.)

Thing was about the size of my cats! Those things are huge. No wonder they can hunt from the sky. Big, fast, and strong. (Great eyes too!)

They are stunning looking birds, indeed. Most impressive.

12. They are amazingly huge.
I'm taking ornithology this semester and we looked at bird skins (for ID purposes) in lab. They are magnificent birds.

13. Oh my,
That's great .To me birds are the grandest of creatures. If I could get close to a bald eagle in person I could then just die and go to heaven.

19. That bird would be pulling an "Aviator"
and merely bottoming out over the snow if I gave it the fat one.
