Watching the Oscars last night
reminded me of the best Oscar acceptance speech ever:

"It's my privilege. Thank you"

Yep, just two short sentences was all Joe Pesci had to say when won, in marked contrast to those who can't seem to stop talking.
It was a bit strange to see a guy who had won the award for playing a loud-mouthed criminal to be so quiet and self-effacing in real life, nonetheless I enjoyed the speech almost as much as the performance in the movie.

1. Jamie Foxx's speech was very touching
~"My grand mother was my first acting coach. She told me to stand up straight, hold my shoulders back, and ACT like I had some sense (laughter) well she still talks to me in my dreams...I can't wait to go to bed tonight (holds Oscar up and looks skyward) we have a lot to talk about"
