How do you poison your life?
Or do you?

The booze and procrastination are in a first-place tie for the Blunt Neomonkey's Progress Award...however, I suspect they may be 2 sides of the same coin.

2. I don't and I don't swallow the myth
that material wealth is important either; an insidious poison if there ever was one. There are no pockets in a shroud.

Booze is an interesting paradox in most societies. We rail against "drugs" yet we have a legal one that is just as destructive as all the others. It's addictive, it fucks up lives but it's legal.

3. I am a chronic worrier
It turns out that it is adaptive for me because I feel more secure considering all the bad things that could happen so I am never taken by suprise. I know that this is harmful to me both physically and emotionally, my relationships, and my enjoyment of life. I am talking with a counselor about this. I need to convince myself that I am capable of whatever life may bring and feel security in other ways.

5. worry-wort and caffeine
I really think myself into really bad "ruts", where I overanalyze everything (you know, the type where you wonder why the boyfriend didn't say I love at the end of the phone call when he always does? Horrible, I know...I need to stop worrying so flippin' much).
I drink waaaay too much caffeine- I get severe headaches and shakes if I don't drink coffee or Diet Coke constantly through the day.
And also, I've been getting lazy- I love learning, but I hate doing work or tests.
