Funny dating stories - good and bad. Have any?
I once broke up with my boyfriend after a Betty Friedan lecture. How nasty was that? ;) He was an incredibly traditional, religious Nuclear Engineer (I used to have a passion for engineers before I changed over to artists and musicians) and he was always attracted to wild feminist women. Never figured that one out.

No school for the kid tomorrow, so I can stay up a little later to hear your tales of woe and intrigue.

1. well...mine is a bit fucked up
So after I get dumped by my ex, I get AIMs, e-mails, and postcards (yes postcards) from him asking "how I was" and other such things.
Anyways, one thing lead to another, and then on AIM he basically said he dumped me coz I was 20 lbs. too heavy in his eyes.
KEEP IN MIND he was a pretty pudgy fuck himself- 5'8'' and like 230. I just laughed at him and blocked him from my life =)

2. I am afraid I always was the dumper in my dating life -
afraid to be on the other end. People's reasons for breaking up are always so difficult and sometimes surprising.

13. That's interesting. I sometimes wonder if I do this.
I always dump people first then later on miss them. Perhaps it is some kind of protective mechanism. Any psychologists around to analyze this?

15. uh, I am one
;)

Although I did that before I became one... you thereby avoid people dumping you and thereby protect yourself. I finally learned not to do that and have been hapily married for almost 14 years.

6. hey.
don't start bashing people on weight. i'm 6 foot and weight 230 pounds, are you gonna call me pudgy?

it's called having a genetic predisposition to weight. even in wrestling, i never got rid of a gut.

i agree, there's a line, at, oh, say, 400 pounds. but 230 ain't nothing.

you hurt people with comments about weight. keep that in mind.

14. well, you have a point.
but please be considerate of people nonetheless. we can't choose our shape, most of the time. i could lose 50 pounds, and still be big and hulky...nothing i can do about my bodily shape.

3. First date of what ended up being a seven year relationship
We go to a resturant and our waiter is someone she knew in high school. Feeling a bit sure of herself, she proceeded to brag to me about how big a crush he used to have on her. Just before we were about to leave, they start talking a bit and reminiscing.

Turns out the guy is gay.

5. Oh the annals of RA's dating life
I should write a book. I'm not sure if it would be a comedy, a tragedy, or both.

One embarrassing story was a spring break where I was visiting home during college. We met at a campaign rally and went out for dinner afterwords. We didn't have anyplace to go to be alone and since she was under 21 so we went to Barnes and Noble. At one point she gave me a little kiss, which turned into another kiss, which after a while lead to a store employee asking us to stop making out or leave the store because customers had complained. That was seriously embarrassing. We went to her car after that. :)

8. That isn't always bad
If you're young then you can add many more. Otherwise, you only need to meet the right person for you one time if it works out.

12. One time I took a guy home with me
I just started to date some weeks before. We took the train. A station after we got on another guy gets in. I used to flirt with that guy. Unfortunately those two guys knew each other. Ouch! I was so glad when we got off the train.
